Welcome to CMC Cardio

Cardiology department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital was established in 1989. It is the only tertiary care cardiac center at government level, providing cardiac care to the people of Chittagong, Chittagong Hilltracts (Banderban, Rangamati & Khagrachari districts) Cox`s bazar, Feni, southern part of Cumilla, part of Noakhali, Laxmipur and Chandpurdistrict.

About 4.5 crore people depends on this center for their cardiac care which comprises about one-fourth of the countrie`s total population. Situated at the first floor of the 1330 beded Chittagong Medical College Hospital, it includes a 16-beded well equipped CCU, a post-CCU, four blocks of general ward, twocathlabs, one echocardiography and one treadmill room. The outpatient department is situated in the ground floor of the hospital. About 350-400 patient with various cardiac ailments are being treated here daily.
